| This is the third in Mr. Gutman's new series and it was by far my first-grade son's favorite of the three. The narration by AJ, the reluctant school-goer, is engaging and the character of Mrs. Loopy is well-drawn and entertaining. Throughout the book Mrs. Loopy makes attempts to liven up books for AJ in order to turn him into someone who doesn't hate books. Judging by how well the author lured my son (a reluctant reader) into the book, Mrs. Loopy met her objective.

"Mrs. Dole Is Out of Control" is a book about a PTA president named Mrs. Dole. Mrs. Dole wants everybody to graduate from the second grade at big party. The PTA vice-president, Mrs.Young, just wanted a normal "step-up" party for the kids to move on to the next grade. my grandson is an advid reader and likes silly titles and books. he had this book read in one day and asked if he could get more of the series. I told him I'd get them for him. he has a wicked sense of humor and to watch him read and giggle though a story is heartwarming. |

| I read the other reviews...not sure what I am missing. We just started reading this to our five year old...we had to stop. The main character is disrespectful to adults and lies to his parents. Not sure how that would warrant 4 or 5 stars? I only gave it a one because it HAD to be rated with at least one star...I guess it goes for the illustrator of the cover. | I don't remember when I first read this book. I do know however that I have read it so many times over the years. Everytime I am in a bookstore or a library and see this book I want to reread the whole series. That is actualyl what brought me here this time. | My son Dimitri hates to read and hates school, the My Weird School series is brillant, fun and entertaining. The main character, AJ, hates school and hates to read. My son can certainly identify with that! My son enjoys reading the books...he doesn't realize he is reading! Great series, I am collecting all the books. |

| My daughter is in 4th grade and definitely not a reader....until now. She picked one from her school library and could not put the book down, so I ordered the series and within a week in a half she has read 4 of the books!!!! Need I say more?! oh except THANK YOU Mr. Gutman |
