| This was my all time favorite book growing up. I absolutelty loved all the activities and craft projects that were included in the book. If you have a creative kid, buy this book. Even though it was published in 1977, kids today will still love it. |

Great drawings of fifties era cars, particulary commercial vehicles: Ice Cream truck, Flower Delivery, etc. The page depicting a family on vacation is hilariously un-PC: The father is relaxing and smoking his pipe while the wife scrubs a pot at the sink in the camper. Outside, the toddler looks longingly from the confines of his crib as the boy shoots off his toy gun. |

| My 19 month old daughter absolutely loves this book. It's a great book for teaching her new words by looking at the fun illustrations. She always picks this one out of the pile! |

| I have 2 different books by Richard Scarry that are about Busytown. My grandson and I spend a long time with each of these books. They are pop ups and have doors to open and holes to look through and doorways leading to other scenes and each pair of pages have so many different little things to talk about. I'd buy these again and consider others by this author. You also need to turn this book up side down because there is another set of scenes that connect to the front side just as demanding of attention. ... Read More: |

| I have to agree with the prior reviewer: why is this book out of print? Although I never spent any serious time at the doctor's, my sister came down with serious pneumonia as a child and this book really helped steady her for the experiences ahead. While I'm sure there are other books out there with similar motivation, this book was special (being R. Scarry)... |
