| This was the first series that my new friend ever recomended to me. I was skeptical at first but then I read the first chapter. Suddenly I was pulled into the world of Alanna. Finally my eyes stopped, frantic I searched for the next page of words. There were no more. I had reached the end of the first book. | This series had potential, starting out good in the first two books, but this book is where all hope of a good story was destroyed.
First of all, I think in this series they could have been a little bit more creative with how people found out that she was a girl. Both times people found out because by some force of magic her clothes were ripped off. Please. Plus, Alanna sleeps with two different men and I don't like the personality of either of them. | Some years ago, we stumbled upon these books at the library. They were an instant hit - every single one in the Sir Cumference series! We check out lots of books but this one the children remembered. In fact, we hadn't checked these out for a couple of years when one son started a new geometry section in math and asked me to get these again so he could review! | I remember this book from my childhood. I think I kept it checked out of my school library almost the whole year! I am so glad to find it again, since it obviously left quite an impression. It's such a wonderful, well-written book, and certainly not your run-of-the-mill fairy tale princess. |

| Admittedly, I'm not part of the target audience it was written for. But I just think that it could have used a little more character development and the plot could have been refined a little. Also, I felt that the ending was a little too abrupt.
But overall, it was not a bad read. There were some very interesting points in it. |

| My four year old girl has been enamored with dragons for a couple of years, and has lately gotten very interested in knights, castles, etc. I quickly found that there is very little out there that is appropriate for smaller children, on the subject of knights. Either the information is too complex, or more likely, too gruesome for my taste. When I discovered this sweet series, I immediately wanted all of them.

| I bought this for my three-year-old niece who is just getting into princesses. They added some new glitter stickers, which are nice, but they stuck together during shipping. One of the Belle stickers got wrecked as a result.
Also, I don't see why they need to put so many pictures of the Disney villains in here. It can be scary for littler kids. We had to pull them all out first just in case. Otherwise, it's a good time filler if you're on a plane or in a restaurant. |

| This book is very well researched and the plot is well thought out--as well as the main character, but I felt that it was lagging in some places and gave me a bad after taste.
Theres a certain bleakness to this book--and I didn't like how much walking and sleeping and traveling and bathing and eating and monotonous details that took up chapter after chapter. | It is a very nice kind of book because it is about ponies. There is a good adventure for Ellie. Sundance is a nice pony. The thing that is sad is when the pony gets stuck in the hole. It has a happy ending and now I would like to read all the other books in this series. I am 7 and a half years old and this is the first chapter book I have read from beginning to end. |
