| My six year old loves this series, she can read one book at a sitting and is anxious to read another. These are chapter books, and could be challenging for some 6 or 7 year olds to read on their own, but if you little princess is a strong reader, these books are a great way to reinforce the principle that there is more to being a princess than being beautiful.

| Princess Mia is celebrating Christmas in Genovia with her Grandmere, father, and her visiting best friend Lily and boyfriend Michael. A touch of the Gift of the Magi and some soap opera in the form of rebellious Lily, the short novella is an nice addition to the series. It's interesting to see this wonderful heroine in the country she will one day rule. Grade: A- |

| In one of the strongest additions to the series, Mia must deal with her boyfriend's need to go to Japan to prove himself worthy of her. This one is mostly a tragic love story, a modern fairy tale, between Mia and Michael. The teenager is growing up and truly becoming a princess, but also dealing with becoming a grownup. I love a series that is such a modern fairy tale and makes references to all my fandoms. Teen geekatude. Grade: A |

| A very nice book that takes you through the technological advances in weaponry through the ages, right up into you get to the firearm period, which left those doing the whole armor bit quite a few problems to deal with, and continue to deal with.

| My daughter loves this series. They don't have to be read in order, and they cover regular issues the girls may encounter at school or with other kids. Most girls want to be a princess, just like the main characters in these books!

| As the Romanov family is one of favorite subjects in history I picked up this book. While it was a great story (historical fiction account), I didn't like that the author towards the end of the book portrayed Rasputin in a good light. However, the author did a great job and should be commended on all her hard work researching the family and everything surrounding them during their time. |
