| This is a decent book. Has loads of action and adventure. Which keeps the reader going from page 1. What I didn't care for as the book went on is Alfred's narration. He's a selfproclaimed loser and everything is his fault. As the book neared the end I was wondering if he would ever stop putting himself down, stop telling you he's slow on the uptake, stop acting sulky with a feel-sorry-for-me attitude. | The series started out great, but from the beginning what bothered me was, ho-hum, no romance, sure Kel developed a crush on Neal, not that it ever turned into anything. But the story witheld my interest long enough for "Squire" the third book in the sereis. Well, I loved it! | There was a time where trying to get my middle daughter to read was like trying to herd cats. Then she brought this book home from the school library. I didn't have to nag her once to finish it, she poured through it from cover to cover. She liked it because it was funny and captured her interest.
Well, I was sold. I bought this book and Volume II and it was the beginning of the turn around. They helped to inspire the love of reading I was hoping for with my daughter, and now she willingly reads a wider variety of books. |

| This book was one of the best innocent romances that I have ever read. The love story is sweet and written well. The characters have a lot of depth and wonderful personalities. If you are looking for a more heady story, I wouldn't pick this however. It would be considered, by most people, as a young teen romance, simply for the lack of a lot of the physical part of relationships. Though, if you want more emotion and less sexual content, this is the book for you. |

| Well, the covers look too much like Bratz dolls, something that is verboten in my house. And the stories don't have that much depth. Read one and you've basically read them all.
That said, my nearly 9 year old (an excellent, but lazy reader!) has devoured these unlike any other series she has read, and is now writing her OWN "Tiara Club" books! They are easy to read and unlike Disney's nubile princesses, these princesses are LITTLE GIRLS.
