| Here's my advice about reading "March." Skip to the Afterward and read it first. It's just a suggestion, particularly for those not familiar with "Little Women" and its place within the Civil War. I think you'll admire the research and sheer work that went into developing the concept of "March" and, as a result, more appreciative of the arc of the story and the punch it packs. | After reading the first 2 books by Nicholas I figured I would go in order of how they were written and "A WALK" being the 3RD. It was was heart breaker, Jamie was the preacher daughter and where ever she went she took her bible. Landon was a troubled teenager, who after a play and going to the orphanage falls in love with Jamie. When she tells him she is sick, he is heartbroken. | First of all let me say that I won't tell you the story like so many do on here.....that ruins the whole book, so I don't read reviews. I will say that you will love this one. It contains so many elements such as suspense, romance, children, and family. I have read 12 of Nicholas Sparks books including this one which I couldn't put down, and read it in 3 hours. You will cry, get mad, and say YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! I highly recommend this book for your library. |

| this book had quality potential in the plot, but the telling of it was a bit rushed and jumbled at times. Perhaps, had it been longer, I would have been more pleased. I read it in under 24hrs. Not a lot of meat to chew through, but it was still tastey enough to chew. |

| Lifeless characterizations of both the Duke and Amelia; parallel plotline with earlier book was confusing, offputting and poorly done. Not worthy of the cost of publishing and production, let alone purchase. Ms. Quinn is capitalizing on the loyalty of her sphere of readers to pass off this badly executed work. I will be much more hesitant to purchase the next one of her titles. |
