| She is a disgruntled ex-Catholic with a self-described history of mental instability which she blamed on the Catholic Church. The illness turned out to be epilepsy, not the Church, but the acquitted perpetrator remains guilty despite the evidence. Armstrong's is bitter, and her bitterness shows up in her other writings as intolerance to anything Christian. | As Peter Kreeft himself says, some of his simplest works are is most favored. This is one of them. Some of the most simple things in life can have the greatest affect on how well our life is. This book provokes thought on things that are often overlooked. I love Peter Kreeft's philiosophy and so far this is my favorite of his books. It deserves careful and thoughtful reading. |

| This version of the Bible is very easy to navigate. The search feature of the Kindle makes it a breeze. My only complaint is that commentary is right there in the text; it's not separated by anything to tell you "Scripture stops, comments begin", so it can sometimes be distracting when just trying to read the Bible. Otherwise, this was a good choice! |

| Ginzburg's study of the miller Menocchio is an invaluable view into the genre of Microhistory. He utilizes a great deal of sources to tease out the identity of this man, how he dealt with his world, and how is controversial views on religion and life ultimately led to his demise. If you haven't read this yet, you should. It's a quick read and very interesting. |

| St. Teresa's famous works Interior Castle becomes even better on this CD set read by Susan Denaker. It is almost like listening to Teresa of Avila actually talking to you about the Interior Castle. Denaker does an outstanding job reading this work and I find I learn something new each time I listen to the CDs. It's great to listen to it over and over without having to work at reading it; you can spend you full concentration on what is being said. |

| From another era and from a brilliant mind, this book is very simple and very beautiful. The touching moments of reaching God as a child holding a father's hand are really beyond words.
