| An entertaining book for toddlers and yooung children. I got to watch my son bounce up and down with glee as he found each hiding critter, and even after dozens of repetitions it's still one of his favorite books. The illustrations are both bright and colorful, and realistic enough to give a good idea what the real animal looks like. |

| Gail Gibbons once again provides an excellent nonfiction book that can be easily understood by elementary school students. I read this book to second and third graders each year. My only quibble is with the use of the word "vegetarian" instead of "herbivore". I love the diagram that compares frogs and toads. Consider pairing this book with Arnold Lobel's Frog and Toad books. |

| this is a wonderful, clever book and a joy to read. Our 5 and 3 year olds enjoy the quirky songs, the lizard's resourceful thinking, and the skunk's ploys for sympathy! The illustrations are beautiful too. |

| She routinely requests that I bring it home from work (I work in a public library). I am actually thinking of purchasing her a copy of her own.
It is a basic book about snakes. Gives a few facts and an illustration about each one. Simple language makes it easy for her to read on her own. Though to be honest, I think she has the whole book memorized by now. |
