| I gave this book to three wonderful grand-daughters, ages 10, 14 and 15 and they loved it. They found it humorous and informative. I my self had a great time looking through it. I had already gotten the Most Dangerous Book for Boys and was thrilled to see my Grandson carrying it around every where he went. He is 12 and pesters his grandfather to help put together the projects. Wonderful books for wonderful kids, thank you. |

| Writing Words was so inviting to my 5 year old daughter. She opened it up and knew right away what she was to do, despite the fact that she cannot read and is not that sure of the orientation of her letters. The pages make her curious and she loves to trace and to write the letters in the blocks. These Kumon books are very subtle that way - they are easy and natural without being tricky or cute like many other books. We also love the Mazes and Number Games books. |

| The theme based school where I work will start with the theme of "Who Counts?" and it covers politics and elections on different levels for the children who attend our K-8 school. I picked up Susan E. Goodman's book because I was familiar with her other books, and I knew my students would love it. I just finished the book myself, and I really learned a lot about past presidents and elections. | This book has good lesson ideas for descriptive writing; although, some of it is hard to follow and choppy. The recorded sound at the back of the book could be useful for some children, but I did not personally find it inspiring. I'd use it as a jumping off point. |
