| I discovered the Over-50 Spelling Bee last year and rediscovered my love of words. I traveled to a local bee at the county level and our state bee and had lots of fun competing. I didn't go to Cheyenne for the National bee because I was busy with other things when it took place in June, but I'll get there one of these years. | After receiving the Thesaurus, we looked up several words, as a "test". Every word we looked up is in there! I actually ordered 3, one for each of my boys, who are 7, 9 and 11. GREAT BUY! |

| Though the cover is gross, we enjoyed the author's other book Oh, Yuck so we purchased this one. These books are filled with fun and interesting information. The author has a great sense of humor and presents topics in a way that is fun to read. My child, and even adults we showed the books to, were fascintated. Books like this help make science and history interesting. |

| The theme based school where I work will start with the theme of "Who Counts?" and it covers politics and elections on different levels for the children who attend our K-8 school. I picked up Susan E. Goodman's book because I was familiar with her other books, and I knew my students would love it. I just finished the book myself, and I really learned a lot about past presidents and elections. | These cards work fine for standard drilling. But I wanted to play War with them as a way of making math facts more fun. It didn't occur to me when I ordered them that the answer to one side being printed on the other would make games difficult to play. Moreover, I found the cards impossible to shuffle because they're so big and flimsy.
This deck's biggest flaw is that it omits some of the division facts. I assume this is done so that the deck will have the same number of cards as the other math facts ... Read More: |
