| Read this book with the idea that whether or not you agree with everything, it will provide many opportunities for reflection. The author seems out-of-touch, a bit, with the current generation. | I'm probably the only one who cares about this, but the image for this product is showing Traditional Cursive, but the title of the product is Contemporary Cursive. When I click to search inside, it does show Contemporary Cursive, so I'm hoping that's what I get when I order this product. Contemporary Cursive begins all letters on the baseline, which is much easier for a child to learn. | I purchased this for my 9 year old son who loves to read.
I gave it to him at the start of a 13 hour car trip. He read it for the first 5 hours without a peep other than asking for some word definitions. He went back to it for at least another two hours later on and picked it up today after reading it all day yesterday. I would highly recommend this book for its short but interesting factoids. It is appealing to look at and easy to jump around. The variety of subject matter will have anyone interested. |

| I love the illustrations in this book! Florian's paintings are beautiful, wacky, and full of details. The poems are awesome, as well. His poems are full of fascinating facts and they are fun to read. Love it! |

| I bought this book for my 18-month old son so he can communicate with me before he could talk. I had been taking ASL classes since he was 6-months and I found the book a good way to introduce it to him, reinforced with my own training. He mastered all the signs before the age of 3. He continues to enjoy reinforcing the signs he knows and I still sign to him now. |
