| Currently using this text in a Political Science class. While it provides lots of information, it is very poor in developing a cohesive body of thought. The online outlines, summaries and test questions are helpful, so there are some useful tools but.............. |

| I used this book during the first week of school with my sixth grade World Geopgraphy class. The stories gave my students a great peek at the lives of children around the world and led them to compare how school and life are the same (and different) for children everywhere.
I think the book would be appropriate for children throughout the elementary and intermediate years. |

| The story was written for adults but it applies to everyone, so I'm glad they rewrote the discussion for teens at the end of the book.
My 13-year-old daughter read it in a day, and she keeps mentioning the insights from each chapter, so I know it "took" It's a book everyone should read and keep on hand, I think |

| This book was incredible. I could not put it down! When I finally finished it on one Sunday, my husband asked me "Are you finished? You haven't talked to me all weekend!"
It captured my interest as my family lived near, Reine's corner, the trash truck depot, the junk yard and the Busy's. I knew the selectmen and some of the officers mentioned. This should become a movie! It reminded me of the type of story as "The Client". The Busby's were so brave, I didn't realize what they were living through as my school bus drove ... Read More: |

| This book is very easy to follow. Each chapter has a short story in the beginning that uses the list words for that chapter. It also has some dictionary work. What comes between X and X in the dictionary (in the back of the book). Toward the end it introduces cursive writing alongside of the printed word. Overall an easy to follow and easy to use book. |
