| I love the Scholastic Children's Dictionary however this thesaurus is not a compliment to that item. There are not enough synonyms offered for each word and there are not enough root words. Horrible. |

| after carefully perusing all of the books in the store on the subject, I went with Barron's. It was an excellent choice. Some of my friends even wound up borrowing my book in the weeks before our exam. I think that the thing that made it the most useful was its organization. This is a very user-friendly book. I found the material to be well-presented, easy to understand and thoroughly explained. My teacher now recommends this book to all of his students. and I recommend it to Amazon.com

| This book was just what my 7 year old needed. No matter what advice I tried to give her, she was still filled with anxiety. This book spoke to her and really sunk in. Last night, she was crying. Tonight, after we read the book together, she was feeling stronger, practicing what she could say back to the mean girl, and had a confident smile on her face. I ordered 3 bullying books and this was by far her favorite. |

| I bought this book for my 18-month old son so he can communicate with me before he could talk. I had been taking ASL classes since he was 6-months and I found the book a good way to introduce it to him, reinforced with my own training. He mastered all the signs before the age of 3. He continues to enjoy reinforcing the signs he knows and I still sign to him now. |

| We have used many workbooks for practice but this workbook has proved far better for our kid. We tried scholastic, school speciality and some others but they were all pretty basic and our son finished them in no more than two weeks. With this workbok, style is pretty and well organized, contents are just enough and topics well presented. Highly recommended for practice lessons. |

| I have a very inquisitive 6 year old girl. She saw Grandma's encylopedia set a month or so ago and she wanted to read them all! Well, we don't have the space for a set, but this book has a little bit of everything. She will just grab it from the shelf and start going through it, and stop to read whatever catches her eye. If she needs MORE info, we go surfing! (On the WWW of course!) So glad we got this encyclopedia for her. It's also a great starting point for any studying (or exploring) we like to do. |
