| I've read many self help books over the years and Jack's book, The Success Principles, is by far the best! It's easy to follow and so helpful - forces you to do something about your life with the work it tells you to do. It's simply invigorating! This book has already changed my life to be more positive, uplifting, and to live my life to the fullest! I was so thrilled with this book I bought my husband and my 2 sons their own copies. | The pressure is tremendous. To write a review of a book on writing -- the review almost has to smack of winning a Pulitzer. Well, I'm no writer, so I'll do my best.
The frankness of Lamott is very refreshing. So many books on writing just cover the technical approaches and don't really address the psychological factors. | I love "The Hobbit" and "LOTR" series of books they are really fantastic works of fantasy-literature. I do own both "The Hobbit" and "LOTR" books and they are one of my many top favourite bookseries ever to be penned. I am glad I got a different edition of the books that stay together, have good drawings of Middle-Earth, and have the sentences worded correctly.

| After reading this book, I had to read it again. I was reading it for a training and I explained to my Trainer that this book is a "good ouch". | This is a must-read book for anyone who travels for business or for pleasure. I travel frequently on business and I have had too many less than satisfying and occasionally miserable experiences with towns, restaurants, hotels and attractions that sounded great in their own promotional literature. | I bought this book to bring to the first meetings of a newly formed non-profit group. After reading it, not only did I find applications for the rules of order in the group but also at work, where a structured meeting that adhered to a certain time limit was greatly appreciated. Very good examples throughout the book and easy introduction to terminology. This is a survey book however, so don't expect extensive listings of rules or details. |

| Sections of this book were assigned to me as coursework. What I read was so entertaining that I immediately purchased the book and had read and reread it within a weekend. I admit that I'd not have seen the depth of O'Brien's true literary genius had my professor not shed light on some of the subtle issues addressed herein (i.e. the retelling of The Lemon Tree story as a portrait of literary progression through history, etc.).
