| This is largely a nonsense book, of course - most of what Seuss gives as examples are his classic made-up creatures. Bloogs blowing by, and a Rink-Rinker-Fink.
But what a nonsense book! It's a lot of fun to read and talk about after. It may not be the most famous Seuss book, but it's certainly one of the best. |

| Compared to other Berenstain bears books, the new ones by Mike Berenstain have a lot of words and can get a little boring and mundane. They also don't start with the clever little rhyme like his parents did. They still teach the lesson but it's a little bit over kill and if you are reading these at bedtime (like myself) suddenly your reading time is quite a bit longer, so instead of 2 books you may only have time for 1. |

| Can you imagine growing up without the Grinch? In my country we collectively had never heard of this funny little fellow until the advent of the film. Fortunately I was introduced to him the Christmas of 1990 (still way past childhood, of course) and have enjoyed the story every year since. | I think this is a Richard Scarry Jr book rather than the dad, but it's still classic Scarry, charming and enjoyable. It's no Cars and Trucks or Busy Busy World, nor is it designed to educate your child about firefighters or fire stations, but it's a quick, cute and enjoyable read. |

| My kids and I love Dr. Suess very much, and yet, I don't recommend this collection.
First, not all of these stories are of the interesting ones. There are many stories here that are of the kind of the nonesense books, stories that don't really have a plot, or a moral, or something changing, or any real caracter.
