| My 6.5 year old son loved this book, along with Simon's other books on tornadoes, earthquakes and volcanoes. In fact, I am going to buy him all of Simon's other books. The photographs are amazing and we both learned a lot from the information in the book. They are well written and very high quality. Plus, they are thin, so they're very easy to take on a trip or put in the backpocket of the passenger seat. You can't go wrong with these. |

| My daughter started with the Tornado book in this series (Wild Weather), which she really liked, and so we got this one on Hurricanes. It's even better. The opening chapters about the hurricane pilot had her riveted, and this is the first chapter book she has gotten through completely in one sitting. My only beef was that the scientists are men in both books, but then I found the Flood and Lightning books, which both feature women scientists. We plan to get Blizzards next, since we live in blizzard country. |

| This is a great review for the AP Physics student! Mooney does a great job condensing the material tested in the Physics C exam in both the Mechanical and E&M areas and provides great examples to drive home the concepts.
