| This is an excellent biography of Edward S. Cutis. It is a clear look at his life and work. The author writes in a easy reading manner about the ups and downs of the man's life. It contains samples on almost every page of his photos. Since Curtis extensively studied American Indians, this is also a good reference for several rarely talked about tribes! |

| I saw this book at a book trade show this weekend (early Oct 2008) alongside an equally amazing companion book of photography called "Incredible Earth." I was expecting the usual ho-hum assortment of cute animal photos from here and there. | This was a Christmas present for our 5 yr old who has recently discovered the thrill of our solar system. He reads it continually and has many of Seymour Simon's other books about our solar system. He loves them so much and has started sharing them with some of his friends. He constantly relates planetary trivia to me which shows me that he's not just looking at the pictures.
