| What a fun read, sure to please even those who are reluctant readers. It has everything a young person could want -- exploding volcanoes, a haunted closet and boogers! Another plus -- it is a very fast read. I laughed out loud as I read the antics of Mac and his friends. I can't wait to read it to my fourth graders. I know they will enjoy it as much as I did. I'm ordering the next two books in the series. |

| It's a beautiful story that is passionate about nature and the relationship between a father and a daughter. Jane Yolen's writing turns down a notch as she focuses on making the most beautiful moonlit knight you could imagine for a winter. It's not so much about looking for owls as it is about being out in nature with someone you care about. The description of the cold, snowy night is amazing, and the illustrations epitomize that feeling.

| I just love reading Ellen Hopkins books. Although Crank and Glass are my favorites, Impulse is a very close third. I love that we get three perspectives in this novel. The way that Ellen is able to reach teenage audiences impresses me every time. I will continue to buy and recommend all her books to my high school students. Thanks Ellen!! |
