| We bought this book for my son (2 years) when I was pregnant with our second child, who was born this past May. While I was pregnant, he wasn't interested in the book and gave a defiant "NO!" whenever I tried to read it- but once the baby came, it quickly became a favorite. My son has it memorized and will "read" it to himself and his baby brother. The book is simple and easy to understand but also gives some good guidance that toddlers can understand (such as needing to ask Mommy first to pick up the baby!). ... Read More: |

| There are a great deal of "Young Adult Fiction" books that I didn't get around to reading at the "right age." The Bronze Bow is one such book. I didn't read it until I was out of college and had a better understanding of the Jewish faith and customs, and I wondered what had taken me so long. This book is wonderful! | I loved the first three books in this series. I loved Bridget, Carmen, Lena and Tibby, and how they all had personalities, talents and quirks of their very own. Their friendship was very strong, unique and was beautifully portrayed. Ann Brashares did such a great job with the first three books in character development, plot and with writing each of the four girls. | Repetition is a good tool for teaching kids to remember important lessons. This book does a good job of repeating that hands are not for hitting, and also suggests what hands ARE good for (holding hands to cross the street, etc.). My 4 year old loves this series of books and we refer to the text often in conversation with her to remind her of the important lessons. |

| My 2.5 year old daughter received this book as a gift and we have never read the first one. The story is wonderful, funny and cute and the illustrations are a very creative mix with real photography. My daughter has this book memorized now and reads it to me which is priceless. I'm getting her the first one for her 3rd birthday and I'm sure it will be a great addition to our home library. |

| I saw Jay Asher speak at UCLA's Festival of Books a few months back, and when he read part of the book it sounded so intriguing that I immediately put it on my list. Now that I've finally got around to reading it, I'm glad I stumbled into that session on Young Adult fiction those months ago.
