| I bought this book for my Geol 110 class at the University of Maryland in College Park. It's completely unlike every other lab manual I've used in college. It does not directly relate to the lab project, its more like a textbook or information packet to prepare you for the concepts you'll cover in lab. It has glossy pages instead of the usual paper so I'm discouraged from writing notes and lab findings in it. I feel like we probably could have gotten this information out of our normal textbook rather than buying ... Read More: |

| My daughter fell in love with the Life puzzles when they were still printed in the "Life Magazine" insert in the Sunday paper. The first puzzle book was poured over by the entire family. I had the opportunity check this one out before ordering, and it is just as much fun as all of the others have been. If you have a child, friend, or parent who loves visual puzzles these books are addicting. All of the puzzle books are great presents for kids! |

This was a textbook I was considering to use, but I found it to be difficult to read (not to mention a bit politically-oriented). I would recommend Raven and Berg for APES, which is more concise and comprehensive for the test. |
