| My wife and I found the book to be very enlightening. People of all ages should read especially those who use make-up, prospective mothers, those pregnant, teen-agers, and folks with children, and members of government and people who just need to or should know about cosmetic industry, its potentially harmful effects of use and lack of protective health regulation.
We found the book riveting and to be honest a little scary, especially with our having three grand daughters. |

| It is impossible to teach people "How to Stay Alive in The Woods" in one book -- especially one that is as small as this one. But Angier does a very good job of covering some of the fundamentals and pointing you to areas that will later need further study. This is one of the first of many "survival skills" books that I have read and is generally the one that I recommend people read first (that or the "SAS Survival" book by Wiseman, which is also pretty good)

| This book and its approach to survival is not my bag, however Lundin does what he set out to do in writing it. Some have described this book as chauvinistic, brash and immature. Perhaps the art is offensive to some, but the information, the reason people actually buy the book, is solid. This is not a primitive technology book, nor a wilderness living manual. | I have been a fan of Deadliest Catch since roughly the second season. For the most part, I liked the Hillstrand Brothers (though Capt Phil and the Cornelia Marie crew are my favorites). I was very excited to find an autographed copy of the Hillstrand's book at my local B&N. Though it offered some entertaining stories, I must say I was disappointed in the book as a whole. | This book is a great reference for anyone interested in sailing. If you're looking for a book that covers both power boating as well as sailing, Chapman's might be a better choice. However, on the topic of sailing, I prefer Annapolis over Chapman's. |
