| Great Book! I think this book was written not for the beginner but for a more experienced computer user. Some things are simple to understand but others are very detailed. Still, this book can be a big help to anyone that has XP for their running system. |

| This is one of the best books on the subject that I have ever read. I learned more from this book than I did in my Security+ and Network+ classes combined. I highly recommend this book. |

| I'm GLAD I took the time to get/read this book from cover to cover. I went from "n00bie" to having a pretty fair grasp of what's up with my Mac. I'd recommend it to all with no reservations whatsoever (it was positively the BEST book I found on Leopard). |

| I find these books to be very helpful. The best way I've found to use them is to read them cover to cover one time. Why? Because there is always information that I was not aware of or a program I was not using at all because of lack of knowledge of what it could actually do. Then I leave it for reference when I need it. The books are really good read for a tech book and I feel it is my helpful friend. The book is not threatening at all and never makes me fell dumb. |

| "Programming Pearls" summarizes many important topics in Computer Science, usually in a sub-par manner. About 10% of the book is dedicated to "thinking outside the box," and I'd say these parts really shine. Unfortunately, the other 90% isn't nearly as good. There are inconsistencies in notation, improperly explained terminology, and incomplete analyses. | It's a pleasure to find a technical book as well done as "Microsoft Windows Home Server Unleashed" by Paul McFedries. Like all such series, there have been a number of weak titles, but this one shines on top of the hill.

| I approach debugging from a security perspective and am used to Ollydbg and IDA pro. I had no idea about the power and usefulness of Windbg. Beyond that, I have learned more from this one book about Windows internals than the last two Windows Internals editions combined (not knocking the internals books - just elaborating on how much I have gotten from this one book already).
