| There's so much silliness and tongue twisting going on in "Fox in Socks" that my 5-year old and 4-year old end up rolling around in their beds they laugh so hard. This is one of our favorite bedtime books. We've been reading it for a couple years now. The book provided new vocabulary at the start but now the attraction is the tongue twisting rhymes that Mr. Fox delivers.

| So of course it thrills my heart that my two nieces (2.5 and 5) like it too.
This book is really an early reader, it's not *intended* for children under that age, though of course it can function as a read-aloud for little-little ones. (Not always - my younger niece won't always sit through this one, it's a bit long!) | I got this for a baby shower gift for someone. I wanted to give something that could last. I ended up buying one for myself. It's a trip down memory lane reading the sweet stories and looking at the beautiful pictures. I hope my friend's baby has great memories growing up with these stories as I did. |

| For a while my daughter (22 months at the time of this review) had no interest in Dr Seuss, but slowly she is warming up to it. This book's board book format that she can carry around works for her better in this case. She is still indifferent to a big hardcover collection that we have, probably because she is not allowed to handle it by herself. | 'Totoro' was the first thought that entered my mind when I saw this book. The author must have had some influence from the animation and nothing wrong with that. It is a beautifully water colored book and the familiar stories that I've heard as a child. |
