| After Pilgrims of Raine I was very excited when I heard that another book was coming out. Raven Rise really delivered. The characters were dramatic yet comical. I normally don't like first-person point of view stories, but this is the exception.

| So does my four year old. But it is my favorite Halloween book out of his big stack. The cadence is perfect and the drawings are fun. I highly recommend this book! |

| Oh, the Places You'll Go! is a very good graduation gift, and my traditional gift for such occasions. But in regular bookstores, the cost usually averages at $18. Now, used books are great ideas, usually about $5, but not for graduation gifts. So when these $12 per arrived in perfect NEW condition I was thrilled. Go Amazon. |

| Okay, so this is probably as preachy as Dr. Suess gets, and it just might get on the nerves of some people, but the tree hugger in me salutes him for it, even as he paints a grimmer picture of environmental destruction than Al Gore ever thought of.
Even so, it's clearly Suess with his imaginative worlds and funny characters. It's a solemn book of warning that it pretty darn good into scaring kids into being careful with the environment. And that's not a bad thing. |

| A wonderful book that provoked the child in me and helps feed the imagination of my godson. We spent hours going through the pages and discussing the creatures. A person, old or young, simply can't be disappointed with all the book holds. |

| I wish I had known that flimsy cardboard could be photographed so handsomely. I wish I had known that a cheap carboard box, not even as durable as the shipping box, was costing me thirty bucks. I wish I had known what a sucker I could be, and that when after my initial enthusiasm and subsequent reading of other disappointed consumers, that in just 5 minutes after realizing I had probably ordered a disappointment, Amazon already had it "scheduled to be shipped" and so the order could not be cancelled (within 5 minutes!!!??? | I've been passionately in love with this book since the 4th grade. I think it is one of the best children's books ever written, in the many themes it explores.
Heck, you have to give the author credit for writing such an ordinary story in a style usually reserved for legends. For that's what this becomes, an urban legend, a tall tale, of a boy who is simply an ordinary boy. It's real and touching even as it goes over the line to the roll-your-eyes fantastic.
