| Good story with lots of clever bits to keep parents entertained too. But I enjoyed Cronin's Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type and Duck for President much more. |

| This is a fantastic book. I loved the twists to the story, and the characters were very well done. I've never read any other retelling of fairy tales that were able to capture the magic, were for an older generation, and yet were still clean. It was refreshing to see a retelling that was not literary porn. A very good book, I highly recommend it. Very enjoyable. |

| Since there's already thousands of reviews on Ella Enchanted, there's no need to go into detail. I'll just say that this book is fabulous and has everything I could want in a book. It's wonderfully written with action, adventure, humor, wit, and a beautiful love story that isn't too mushy. I like re-reading this book so much that this is the second time I've bought it; my first copy was misplaced. This one is definitely Gail Carson Levine's best. |

| I first read this book in grade school with the help of my mom. I remember it fondly as a heroic tale with a sad ending. I remember the illustrations vividly.
I walked past this book at the book store recently and was thrilled to see it and remember how much I had enjoyed it. I read it that night. In all honestly, I was greatly disappointed. | This adorable little book is chock full of everything a child will love - tactiles, rhymes, animals, bugs and counting! It isn't annoying in the slightest and it never gets old no matter how many kids have grabbed it off the shelf and plopped down in my lap. I have to admit that when I first read it, I was horrified - it was a nail-biter all the way to the end....where did they go? were they mauled by the duck? the fish? the frog or turtles?! Then, we get to the end *sigh* - all better.

| I purchased this to give to my soon to be daughter-in-law as a fun item to include in a package I was sending her. I always liked the original version of this Dr. Seuss book and was excited about this one.
It is a very cute book and I love the story. I think the size of it makes it easy for you to hang onto and pass on. Definitely pick one up for the Dr. Seuss lover to start their baby out early. |

| I never liked Green Eggs and Ham in English (or Fox in Socks either) because I found Sam so annoying. Give it up already, Sam, I don't like the blasted things! However, to my surprise I found myself really enjoying the translation into Spanish and I don't mind reading it over and over again to my kids. As a translator and conference interpreter myself, I'm delighted with the way the translators solved the rhythm transference.
