| I must say, I truly do love the illustrations and artwork of Jan Brett. She is gifted in that area and I'm not going to argue that. What I will argue is that Jan Brett does a pretty darn good job telling a sweet story just through the beautiful images. The colors are bright and beautiful and that group of woodland creatures is just adorable. However... the story is not quite up to other retellings I have heard. | I never liked Green Eggs and Ham in English (or Fox in Socks either) because I found Sam so annoying. Give it up already, Sam, I don't like the blasted things! However, to my surprise I found myself really enjoying the translation into Spanish and I don't mind reading it over and over again to my kids. As a translator and conference interpreter myself, I'm delighted with the way the translators solved the rhythm transference. | This is a good book for Halloween because it takes place on Halloween. It is really, really, really funny. Nate thought his dog was a ghost and that made me laugh. It was my favorite Nate the Great book. It was the funniest book I ever read. |

| I bought Ironside and Valiant at the same time, although Valiant came before Ironside, i read Ironside first. I wanted to read more about the changeling faerie, Kaye, and her adventures. I then read Valiant. i would recommend to read the books in order to fully understand the plot. the three books flow really nicely. Valiant explains a lot of what Kay and her Friends go through in Ironside. I think that Tithe is the best of all three leading into so much revealing of characters and feelings. | It was great timing the product arrived just after I had a job interview. I've been eagerly waiting for this to arrive and a few days after the estimated delivery date it did. At a perfect timing even.
Howl's Moving Castle is one interesting book. Diana Wynne Jones puts it in a way where one has to keep reading in order to understand what the deal really is.
