| I heard on the radio that this book is the #1 best selling fiction book (including adult books) of all time. I remember reading it as a kid and now I read it to my son who is eight months. We began reading it at five months and he loves it! I take his hand and run it accross the little holes. I bought the toy seperatlly and he loves that too... |

| I have been reading this series to my four children at bed time. It has captivated their attention as well as mine. We catch ourselves reading up to seven chapters some evenings. Over all, I really liked The Inheritance trilogy and Eragon was a great book. The problem is that after Eragon, most of Eldest was a let down and I really hope that the series comes back together in the 3rd book, Brisngr, if not, I bet Paolini will get much worse reviews on Amazon.com. A lot of the writing could have been cut off though, like most of Eragon's lessons, and many of the long, unnecessary descriptions of random events. The part I hated most about the book, ... | My family is very fond of all of Julia Donaldson's books, but The Snail and the Whale is our very favorite. Axel Sheffler's illustrations are whimsical (My son has noticed that most of the insects he draws have noses)and beautiful. I am especially fond of its rhyming, making it a delight to read. | Sure, the Norse Gods book ends like an Eden, with the new men loving "The Almighty God". True.
I am one of those pagan/witch/Wiccan/Asatrus (whatever label you want to give me is fine, to me it's all religion). I got this book to learn more about the Norse pantheon in a way that stimulating to me via nostalgic childhood artwork. I love this book.
