| "Brisingr," the third in the "Inheritance Cycle," is yet another example of the Devil's plot to corrupt the minds of everyone on Earth. As ludicrous as this might sound, it is true. The Bible specifically says that Satan works to deceive people, especially in the Last Days, in which we now find ourselves.

| I purchased this book for my best friend who is having a boy come this December. I did so because I remember so many good memories when my parents read it to me as a child that I wanted him to share those kinds of memories with his son. Despite other reviews of saying this book is "pointless" or "dark and scary", we the reader don't always need to put on our critical, psychoanalytical, or marxist lens and analyse the books we read our children. | My son and I really enjoyed this addition to the Olympians series. The story keeps you on your toes and we book could not put the book down. We are looking forward to book 5 next year. |

| The Harry Potter Schoolbooks are written as if they really came from the wizarding world. The box set contains just too books which are around 50-70 pages long each, but include interesting back-story about the world of Harry Potter with respect to beasts and Quidditch. The books are inexpressive and also 20% of the cost should go to charity. I would really like to see more schoolbooks come out now that the seventh book in the series has been written. Half-Blood Prince's Potions book anyone? |

| I pre-ordered this book because I had confidence in Melissa's work and knew she would give an "inside" perspective that was accurate. I was not disappointed. Her writing style grabbed hold of me and kept me reading-- though I could put the book down (witness how long it took me to finish). I appreciate what she went through to write it-- traveling with a wizard rock band on tour, going to fests, interviewing Laura Mallory, etc. This is no book based on library and internet research. She was there.

| The tree that keeps giving, wanting nothing in return but to please the little boy.
It's a wonderful story and teaches a lesson, at any age. I found myself feeling like the giving tree lately, while part of a non-profit organization. When I verbalized the analogy, I realized that many people had never heard of the book. It's on top of my gift list this year. |

| I had to make a first review here in protest at such junk packaged as high-brow kids lit. The dark content is off-putting, but all the more so because it comes with an exceedingly poor plot & is written in an achingly moronic style. Honestly, I think the book adaptations of straight to dvd barbie movies exhibit better literary flair. I'll reprint here another reviewers thoughts that echo my own...
