| A very nice book that takes you through the technological advances in weaponry through the ages, right up into you get to the firearm period, which left those doing the whole armor bit quite a few problems to deal with, and continue to deal with.
A nice looking book that is quite informative. |

| We were looking to buy a "Great Big Book of Everything" for our daughter for Christmas and this is it! Every night we let her pick an animal and we read about it. It's very informative w/o being too boring for our 6 year old. The pictures are great too! |

| The last few Eyewitness books purchased for my school library contained a CD of clip art and a poster. I guess DK wanted to kick it up a notch by adding those items to their already superlative publications!
The lay-out for "China" is perfect and the first I've seen in an Eyewitness country book. | I spy books are absolutely fun for the whole family. Exercising your brain with your kids means a lot for you and them. My son is 4 and although he cannot find all of the objects he finds a lot of them. What I like about the books is the photography and how they made different views from the same place. Look for yourself. I also like the fact that you can put them up and get them out after time and start all over. I recommend them highly and plan on buying all of them over time. |

| The graphics and images are compelling, and it's loaded with facts. I used this book to enhance a science exhibit for K-8, and all ages learned interesting things from it. For younger or less confident readers, each 2-page spread has a different topic, so it is easy to read a bit and then put it down until the next time. I thought it would be watered down for the older children, but was pleasantly surprised that it had plenty of depth for the older ones. |

| This book has all the ins and outs of the history of electricity, however, it is more for older children, and adults as well. My 4 year old loves lights and electrical things, but he didn't get a kick out of this book, even when reading it over with me. Mostly historical information. |
