| I read this to our son, sadly, after he "out grew" these books, they were passed on. Happily, after searching all over I found these treasures on Amazon and now have a new collection for our beautiful grand daughter to enjoy. |

| This is an engaging, quick read which connects the reader to the "community" created by Fleischman. The unlikely partner farmers in this book show the author's optimism and give promise that, with a common goal, a group of individuals CAN create one community. Highly recommended... see Middle School Journal (Sept., 08 issue) for a highly useful article about how a school used this book as the basis for a schoolwide read.. complete with projects and outcomes. |

| This is a great book if your preschooler loves to look and hear about animals and their habits. It is a bit much if your preschooler is not ready to sit and examine things in detail. But for those animal-lovers it is a great book series! |

| It was in 1968, exactly fifty years after Sterling North befriended his little raccoon, that I first read this captivating story. I was ten years old, and the book was an abridged version called "Little Rascal." Just before the Disney movie came out, in 1969, I read the complete "Rascal." Then saw the movie. I've read the book several times since, including just last week.

| Sometime between 18 months and two years of age, my son suddenly became obsessed with volcanoes - I can't remember the exact trigger. I do remember going through a lot of books with him before finding this one, and it was the only one that appealed to him, at his young age. It has great photographs as well as informative illustrations that show him what goes on inside the volcano.

| When my first child received "I Am A Bunny" nearly 25 years ago, I fell in love with it. The story is lovely to read, the pictures are rich in color and detail, and both of my kids found this to be a favorite to read with us or alone. It is the first book I buy for every new baby. As a board book, it is easy for children to manipulate and truly "own" the book. It is a classic, enriching book for all children. |
