| I ordered this product because I simply wanted the guitar chords for the "De Colores" CD. When the book arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the it is a beautiful collection of -- not only the music (guitar and piano) -- but also of illustrations. It is really sweet, giving extra incentive to those wanting to learn to play the songs... and likely fun for kids to look on or use themselves. The songs are simple to play and great to sing. | This is a great book for fun easy songs. Has a lot of the classics. I am a beginning piano player and I can play quite a few of the songs and sing along with my little one. I would buy this book again for sure. |

| I ordered this item in the hopes to teach my speech-delayed son more sign language. I was an elementary school teacher for over ten years and this product was overwhelming! The songs are way too fast! Then you have to refer to the book while listening to the song and then supposedly teaching your child- UGH! It would be beneficial if the book came with a dvd showing the signing along with the songs... |

| Like all of Venezia's books, this is a great introduction to the musician. The story is in simple to understand language so young children can easily grasp what is being explained. The only caution I would give is in regards to the "comics." Considering a few incidents I've had with my preschool aged children, I would advise people to make sure to emphasize the make believe aspect of these parts when reading them to the younger children.
For older children it is a great music appreciation lesson if you add some listening ... Read More: |
