| As a homeschooling mom, we found this book very informative about turtles. We did a unit on turtles and found this book to be an excellent book to use in our study of turtles. My daughter enjoyed the book and so did my 23 month old son who loved the turtle pictures. I like these Let's Read and Find out Science books. They are excellent way to teach your children about different science topics. |

| The absolutely adorable illustrations are sure to capture any child's attention. I loved the book, especially the cute story line with the children and animals used to explain, in very simple terms, what a shadow is and how it is formed. Perfect for 5-6 year olds. I also think it was great that the book was rather multicultural in its illustrations, something I always look for. It would make a great read-aloud and will probably spark many questions from a youngster! |

| A good book; my preschooler likes it a lot and understands the concept of different shaped birds fitting in different shaped houses. Nice idea about friendship at the end (Birdie's friends end up building him a house themselves). HOWEVER! I find it truly bizarre that nobody - not the author, the proofreader, the typesetter, the publisher, nobody - noticed that in the beginning of the book Birdie is referred to as "he" and by the end is referred to as "she"!
