| i thought this would be a book about stars! (not surprisingly, given the title). it's actually a book about constellations. it talks about seeing pictures in stars and lists a few common constellations and when to look for them. it has pretty much no information on stars themselves. i wasn't surprised that my daughter wasn't particularly interested. why not have a book about stars---red dwarves, blue giants, black holes, galaxies, etc instead!? argh! wasted opportunity. |

| We liked the story. It was fast-paced as all the Magic School Bus books are. The subject was well covered, lots of information on how germs harm the body and how our natural defenses help conquer them. |

| At first I was a little disappointed with the writing type in the book then I got to the "math" part and fell in love. I think 1st through 3rd graders would love this as an introduction to measurements. |

| This book introduces the counting concepts of the same, fewer, and more.
As I read, I found myself wondering why the author would choose peanuts and worms (in addition to carrots) as items for Rabbit to shop for. I expected cabbage or green beans to be more appropriate and easy for children to relate to. I have not purchased many peanuts or worms when shopping with my kids. | Deceptively simple in the beginning, this story builds in complexity and excitement from start to finish. It is an intelligent story made exciting through mathematics. Anno's Magic Seeds is a clever introduction to the concept of investing toward the future. As always, the illustrations are lovely. |

| I was really surprised by how much impact this one book had on me and my 4 yr old. This book is so simply beautifully illustrated, informative, and eye opening even to adults. Some animals have fewer than 20 left on the earth and will most likely be gone forever. It helps open discussion for young kids about the earth they will inherit and simple things kids can do to help. I will be giving these out as gift to parents with kindergarden and first grader kids. |
