| While my almost 2 year old son loves this book (as he loves all maisy books/videos), I have had to put it away because in his desire to pull the tabs and make things move, he is constantly ripping the pages or the moveable parts. The parts are just made of regular paper, not more sturdy card stock as you find in other pop-up/pull tab books. A fine book if you have a gentle reader, but if you have one like mine, who loves his books to pieces (literally), this is not a good choice. |

| My 14 month old daughter absolutely loves this book. She'll flip through the pages and lift the flaps. Some of the flaps are tricky for her, since they don't all just lift up.
Her favorite part is the last page of the book, where Maisy gives the reader a present - another book! It is a small book that shows each of the characters playing with the gifts. It is not a board book, so it can be easily destroyed. She sometimes just flips to the end and wants to get out that little book. ... Read More: |

| My 5 year old son & 18 month old daugher adore this book. They each have the opportunity to play with a different room at the same time - no pushing or shoving to get closest to the book as they sit in a circle around the opened book/house. The only thing I wish it came with was something to hold all the small pieces, like a plastic bag with a slide lock on the back cover (I got the idea to make my own too late). | I don't think there a Maisy book that I would give less than 5 stars to! My 2 year old has loved Lucy Cousins books since she was 6 months old. Maisy is simple, sweet and to the point. The fun little mini edition is easy for little hands. |

| It's hard to pick a favorite of the Maisy books--it seems to be whichever one we're reading at the time. This one is especially fun if your child is at all interested in working in the kitchen. After reading "Maisy Makes Gingerbread" (numerous times), my 2-year-old and I made gingerbread cookies together. She enjoyed following the steps, "just like Maisy," and while we were eating the cookies, she said, "Yum, yum. Nice gingerbread cookies, Maisy!" (the text from the last page of the book).
