Very disappointed in this book. I have been a Karon fan since her first book and think this is the first time I
almost didn't finish the book. The last part was ok but much too much dialogue that was not interesting enough
to hold my interest for very long. I think it is time to go back to Mitford where the people are interesting and
sometimes funny but seem true to life. Guess I will have to end my review by saying 'BORING' for the most
part.

I feel the same as one of the other reviewers; why summarize the story on the cover and tell me what happens?

I couldn't get to the end of this book, to be honest, I couldn't even read past page 55ish. I tried, I kept reading as much as I could and as far as I could, but this book isn't worth my time.

I will not finish the book regardless of how strongly I feel about finishing everything I start. And, I would never recommend this book to anyone.

Kitchen Confidential is a must read for anyone who has ever set foot in the backrooms of a restaurant. Bourdain captures the environment with all its stresses, off-colored language and cooking pride. Kitchen Confidential reads similar to a feature on VH1's Behind the Music as Bourdain battles with his own demons and finds success after many years of debauchery. I have been a fan of Bourdain's No Reservation on the Travel Channel for quite awhile and now as an author. The book lead me to another Bourdain project called the Les ... Read More:

A young man thinks his biggest problems in life are his ADHD and dyslexia, maybe a bully or two, but then he discovers that he's half god.

This very clever book (written primarily for middle school to early highschool students, but rewarding and enjoyable for adults, too) imagines that the Greek gods are still around and still up to their old ways-especially going out and having children with mortals. The writing is very witty; the author had me laughing out loud more than once. The plot is great and never slows down. ... Read More:

This is the first 300-page book I've ever read in one sitting -- and I'm not a big novel reader. I just couldn't wait to see how it ended. There is so much symbolism in the book, you almost need an algorithm to keep track of it.

So, why is this an American classic? Do you other reviewers even need to ask? This is literature at its finest. The writing is excellent -- try to remember that books were not written in this conversational tone in 1951. The genius of this book is that the author is talking directly to the reader through ... 168.Guns,Germs, and Steel by: Jared Diamond

Books : Guns,Germs, and Steel
In the first half of the book Diamond presents his thesis why certain continents are richer than other continents. This is fascinating reading as long as Diamond describes pre-historic times. His arguments are the strongest I have seen so far. Diamond is much less convincing when he moves to historic times and tries to explain differential performance within a given continent. The second half of the book describe individual continents and is quite tedious, but there is no need to read this section unless you have special interests in a particular region. ... Read More:

I purchased this for my granddaughter because my daughter wanted to read it to her! So, I think I bought it for both of them.

All my children were raised on this and the other classic Dr. Seuss books. It's a fun thing to read for young and old. It gets the giggles going at bed time and beyond.

What more can I say? It's a children's classic written in true Dr. Seuss style!

I loved all the Patterson books from this series. And this is no exception. I don't want to give ANYTHING away. Just get it. You'll love the ending.
