| This is a regular addition to our bedtime reading collection for our two sons (ages 5 and 4). The book is colorful, fast and fun to read.
Both of my kids already know their ABCs but that doesn't prevent them from enjoying this book and giggling like mad as they read these lines: "Skit skat skoodle doot. Flip flop flee..." "mamas and papas and uncles and aunts..." |

| It had been many years since I read the first two books. I recently took the books off my shelves and reread them and realized that even as an adult, past the "youg adult" stage of life, these are wonderful stories. I was amazed to see the copyright date and see that it was 100 years since Lucy Maud first wrote them. Anne girl has withstood the test of time. | The Bob book series are excellent for encouraging very beginning readers. Each page has only a few words and kids who are just beginning to sound out and read the stories. This makes them want to keep learning. The only thing to watch out for is kids sometimes memorize the books if they read only one or two over and over so you need to mix them up to have them actually read the books.
I've been using these with my 4 and 5 year olds and they both love them. |

| This is a great book! It is well written and the story line is very easy to follow. This book was one of three books that was required summer reading for my daughter's 6th grade class and she loved it as well. It gave her a different perspective on the different and most often times unfair treatment African American received during the 1930s. I strongly recommend this book to every young person to learn a few of life's lessons. |

| I bought this for my 4 year old and she absolutely loves it! It is really great for kids who have a million questions about how things work and it does a phenomenal job of explaining a typical process (e.g., building a house) from end to end (including laying sewage and water pipes underneath the ground). It gives the details that curious kids really want to know in a fun, darling way. |
