Books : RALPH S. MOUSE
The characters are Ralph, Ryan and Brad. Ralph has a motorcycle but his relatives want to ride it. But Ralph thinks the relatives will get their tails stuck in the wheels and brake the motorcycle.

Ryan lived at a hotel and brought Ralph the mouse to school in his pocket.

Ralph had problems with lots of stuff, a maze that Brad wanted to be harder with trap doors and tunnels. Ralph was mad at Brad.

My favorite part was everything. I would recommend this book ... Read More:

I grew up with Eloise Wilkin's Golden Books so when I saw this collection in the store I was very pleased. I ended up not buying it at the time and when I went back a few months later they weren't carrying it anymore. I was so happy to find it on Amazon. I bought it for my 4 year old daughter's birthday and she has quickly made it her favorite story book. The illustrations, as usual are amazingly beautiful! The stories are classic and unlike so many other story books, I don't have to edit any of the content. ... Read More:

I teach eighth grade Language Arts, and I'm always on the prowl for books that will engage young boys to read. I picked this up on a whim, and I'm very pleased. This anthology has a little bit of everything in it: fiction, non-fiction, illustrations, cartoon strips -- the works. The shorts cover a wide-range of topics from the silly to the dead-serious. In short, there's something in this book for every taste. I think it will be a popular book for my classroom library.

There's only one little ... Read More:

Books : The Great Gilly Hopkins (M-Books)
My 11-year old recommended this book. She had read it at school. So we read it together. We loved it! The story is fascinating and the characters are wonderful. It's the story of an 11 or 12 year-old girl who has become hardened and deceitful because of her experiences as a foster child that is moved around to different families. She's white and has grown up racist ... but this changes ... not in a sudden epiphany (how rare those are!) ... her feelings and behavior change slowly ... organically. I highly recommend ... 95.The Tempest (Macmillan shakespeare) by: William Shakespeare

Books : The Tempest (Macmillan shakespeare)
The Tempest is rightly regarded as being one of the Bard's greatest works, containing some of his deepest thoughts on the nature of power and the relationship between rational man as controller of nature, and the animal man always to be at the mercy of the passions both of himself, others, and the world around him. In fact, this play could be thought of as representing Shakespeare's final and definitive statement on topics that he had explored throughout his cannon. But profound as the philosophy is, and despite the beauty ... Read More:

This one of my all time favorite books. It is well written and very creative. My son would always ask for this book. He now reads it to his little brother. Great book.

97.Heart of a Woman by: Maya Angelou

Books : Heart of a Woman
In addition to being a moving tale of a life filled with challenge, adversity, accomplishment and excitement, "Heart of a Woman" gives important insights to non-African Americans about their life situation. As a white woman, I am so grateful for the light Ms. Angelou sheds on the thinking and psyche of an African American woman. Until we, as whites, come to better understand this group's challenges and see the privilege we take for granted, we (whites) will continue to oppress. Thank you for a great story and many wonderful lessons. ... Read More:

Brilliant, cartoony art introduces kids to a variety of jungle animals and the prose has a rhythm that reflects the "Rumble" of the jungle.

The other two books are better. This one is still good though.
But the plot is pretty much straight forward except quite few minor turns.
The tension mostly came from the thought "How will this all finally end?".

Books : Lost Horizon (MacMillan ELT Stories to Remember Series)
The old Shangri-La story.

Or here it is, hidden valley and all. A group of weary warriors are kidnapped (or almost Shangri-Lahaied if you like) but the flying doesn't go so well, and there's a bit of a crash. Near the important city of course.

Thereafter lies a culture clash, as the outsiders from the presents and the ancient monk types inside the city affect each other in different ways and make their decisions about should I stay or should I go now.
