| This is a great board book and touchy feely book for age 8 to 9 months and up. I would even buy it for as young as 3 months old. It's sturdy, durable, colorful, beautifully illustrated. This book has won the Parent's Guide Award. They learn about the different textures and love looking at the pictures. A plus to this book is that there is a mouse hidden in the pages that they can look for. It gives them great satisfaction when they see it. | ISBN 2894332513 (5 stars) - This is now the third Disney version of The Lion King that I've read, I thought I'd found the best of them in 0307127923. I stand corrected with this one. Although it's small, nearly pocket sized, and it's one of those "novelties", with a pillowed hardcover, this edition is better than the rest (so far!). For the sake of comparison I will, again, merge the reviews.

| We all went on Safari, walks you through Tanzania with some Tanzania children, they see things on the plains and count them in English and in Swahili.
I found this book simply fascinating. In addition to the little counting story, there is a map of Tanzania and there are little factoids about the animals the children see and the Maasai people, and the land itself. Lafcadio is a wonderful book about trying to figure out who you want to be and then, finally, who you are. I give this to every graduating high school senior who appreciates metaphor. |

| There's something about the text that just makes my son sleepy! And no matter who reads it, he is either out or well on his way by the end of the book. The only problem I have with the book is that my son always questions the illustrations, which mingle the tigers from the zoo with the boy's bedtime routine. So, for example, my son always wants to know why there is a tiger cub in the bathroom when the kid's mom is brushing her teeth. Jaguar is a book of adventure, the main characters name is Jake and he goes to Brazil with his dad to work on a jaguar preserve. I wouldn't read the book again but it was pretty good. My favorite part of the book is when a bad guy named Tyler died by a bow and arrow. Flanna was my favorite character because she killed a bad guy named Tyler.
