| I had my 1880 home flooded in the Iowan floods of 2008. In rebuilding, I have the opportunities to straighten out a lot of "grandfathered" upgrades. This book has been helpful in both DIY's and contracting bids. Now I am getting a home that is safe, code current and still has the Victorian architecture that I loved when I first bought my house. I couldn't have done it without this book. It has save me thou$ands. |

| The author separates background which includes technical field, prior art and advantages from summary which merely summarizes the invention. However, many patents actually include advantages as a part of the summary. So which is the better way of organizing the patent? Is the author describing the correct/up-to-date way of drafting/organizing the patent?
Its a great book nonetheless, i am just confused about a few technical details. Please help if you can. thanks in advance! |

| I am looking into starting a small, 501(c)(3) charity. This book is extremely detailed, and it gives step by step instructions on how to start a non-profit, but I think it is over my head! This book goes into the details of how to form a corporation, but not on how to fundraise! I am still confused as whether I can fundraise first, or if I legally have to establish the tax exempt status, first! |

| I heard that this series is a cheaper alternative to the overpriced Emanuel Law Outlines. It breaks everything down quickly but doesn't make you feel like you should have paid more. It gives numerous flow charts and gives good exam tips. I recommend this if you can't afford Emanuel Law Outlines. |

| This is an excellent textbook and reference book on fundraising for non-profits. I recently joined the board of a non-profit and knew nothing about fundraising, but this book got me up to speed very quickly. The author treats you like a reasonably intelligent person, in contrast to some other primers that are too cutesy, and she writes in plain English and avoids jargon.
