| First, if you already know the basics and can communicate effectively in Russian, you probably won't find much new material here. But when I bought this program I could barely say "good morning." If you are in that position and want to learn, this program is a wonderful starting place. I was a little disappointed at first when I saw there were only two tapes, but when I listened to them, and read the companion book, I saw that they had most of the phrases a beginner would need. This tape doesn't really teach her any new language, but she loves to hear familiar songs sung in Russian. We feel that it is unlikely that Russian children sing "Wheels on the bus," but she likes listening to it in Russian anyway. Even children who do not already know any Russian will recognize some of the songs on the tape. |

| After signing up for a Latin class at our local Junior College, I was sad to be informed by the professor that Latin is considered a dead language. I was sorry to hear that as it was really fun to listen to the tapes and follow along in the booklet. That was the easy part.
Latin itself is a very complicated language in my opinion and makes Mandarin look like a piece of cake! I would definately recommend this material for anyone intersested in learning a little about Latin including every day phrases ... Read More: |

| Maybe it's just that Czech is rather difficult, but I'm struggling getting through this book. I think that the content is great, explanation is good, but I wish there was a workbook to go along with it or more questions throughout the book for practice. I am also regretting that I didn't get the audio portion, as it is quite difficult to imagine how some of the words sound. |
