| I bought this video hoping it'd be more like Bilingual Baby-Italian, which I loved because it takes on an immersion approach. But I found this tape's approach very confusing. Each song briefly starts out in Italian but predominately they sing the song by alternating English and Italian line by line. I found my brain overwhelmed by having to switch so frequently back and forth between the two languages and I'm fluent in Italian! | I had expected a CD produced by Berlitz to employ sound teaching methods. Instead, there is as much English spoken on the CD as there is Portuguese. The Portuguese words and phrases are spoken once, so you have to keep "rewinding" if you want to actually learn anything. Unfortunately, that means you also have to keep hearing the same annoying English speaker telling you the obvious (such as stating that you can listen to the CD as many times as you'd like. )

| Be careful with this!!! I thought I was buying the textbook/exercise book, and it turned out to be the Student Test Book - not very helpful in my French class! Possibly the title is slightly different, possibly it was my seller's fault (not Amazon but part of the Marketplace), but in any case, make sure you know what you are getting with this. HAE |

| Great CDs with a rich content and very usefull. However, I bought the CDs because in the description it was written "AUDIOBOOK CD-ROM", so I thought it was the electronical version of the paperback, but when I got the CDs I was really surprised that, in fact, they ARE audio CDs and not CD-ROM as mentioned.
Now, I had to buy separately the book. So, in all, interesting but only audio CDs, not CD-ROMs. Don't get wrong. |
