| Firstly, I have the CD version. The photo on the front looks exactly the same but it has a blue cover, not an orange one.
There are better audio CD + phrase book kits out there. I bought 5 different kits, and this is by far the worst. What annoys me most about this is the corny melody they play at the beginning of each track. This soon becomes downright annoying. It's the same tune repeated OVER and OVER and OVER again. 15 times. | I was disappointed in this cassette program. I had previously used the Language 30 Greek program, which was outstanding. It broke down the individual sounds of the language and gave a pretty good idea of how verbs are conjugated and the differences between singular and plural nouns and adjectives. It was excellent preparation for a trip to Greece. I had assumed that all their language programs were as good. I was wrong in this case. | This book is for people who have some knowledge of the language, by that do not take the begginer course, and is entirerly educational. This is not like the horrible Begginer course, it is good but it doesn't teach you as much as an advanced program would. |

| This set is a decent value. For your money, you get a fairly broad range of phrases and vocabulary. However, the organization of information assumes that you can keep interest listening to a bunch of discrete phrases repeated one after the other with no conversations or anything remotely natural. If you can, in fact, maintain interest while listening to these tapes repeatedly, then you'll do well with this set. If, on the other hand, you need something more dynamic, you might do well to look elsewhere. |
