| To be quite honest, I couldn't imagine spelling has a lot to do with pronunciation before. The author clearly associates each letter pattern with each vowel sound.(e.g./u; o as in woman, ou as in could, oui as in bouillon, u as in bull, oo as in wood) It sounds like a real cliche, but practice makes perfect; you'll get used to it once you get the pattern indicated in this book! | I bought my 10 year-old daughter this dictionary because the one she had didn't have all the words she had to look up and define. She also likes the letters on the edge of the page so it makes it easier for her to locate the correct letter. |

| Our 15 month old daughter found this book, which belonged to our older daughter. Our littlest one now grabs this book and heads for daddy's rocking recliner about 10 times a day! She loves to point out and try to babble words out with me. Our friends and family are impressed when we asked her to show us an Owl, and she can turn the pages and point to it!! She can now identify many many objects, animals, colors, etc.
This book is great and easy to read! |

| I did not read this book but it was my son who got it for a school assignment. he did tell me he enjoyed the book very much. I bought him the movie because sometimes it helps him understand the book a little better. We all enjoyed the movie as well. |
