| My 7-year-old niece who reads well loves to sit and read this book. She picks it up several times a day to read and recite the jokes! Some of the jokes are for older children but there are plenty for the younger ones, too. |

| My 7 year old daughter and I have been reading these each night and she absolutely loves them. The stories are very short and the idea is to look for the "untruth" told in the story. There is something in the wording of the story that makes it a lie. I love the way it challenges my daughter to think beyond what is said and look at the words from a different angle. She (or I) don't get all of them, but we are getting better at them and will definitely try the "More True Lies" also by George Shannon. |

While seemingly simplistic, the small phrases like "FLEX, ELF" accompanied by a drawing of a dwarf desperately trying to muster up to large cloned muscle men are absolutely hilarious.
