| We listened to the audiobook on a three generations family road trip and everyone loved the book. Granted, some of us were raised on Long Island in the early sixties (duck and cover drill, LILCO power outages, etc. rang true). However, even the twelve year old reluctant reader in the group raised in Mass. couldn't wait until we got back in the car to listen to more. It is a book with something for everyone. | I bought this for my 17 month old toddler and she loved it and read it before and after the baby was born. I suggest this book to everyone I know who is having another child. My daughter still likes to read this book and my son is now 2 years old. |

| Maybe this story was supposed to be written in this manner (more metaphorically speaking), but I don't know how anyone could literally believe it.
First of all, when Stargirl does actions like dancing in the rain during school hours (class time), especially when students can see that she's doing it (distracting to classes too), I don't see how school officials or authoritative figures would not take any action. | I've never really been into YA so I was skeptical when my friend recommended it to me. However as a fan of works like 1984, Brave New World, and Farenheit 451, the utopian plotline won me over.
In short, I was glad I picked it up. I was immediately enthralled and once I got the 2nd book, I finished it in a day leaving me anxious for the 3rd release. The Uglies trilogy is a great YA series. | I absolutely love this series on the traveling pants. While it's been many years since I was a teenager, it's not hard to remember feeling the emotions these girls feel. These books are so well written, following along as the girls grow and mature through various life situations and stages. You cry and you laugh. I highly recommend this entire series. |

| I literally just finished reading this novel about ten minutes ago. I found myself just staring at the last page, waiting for some grand explanation to pop out and make it all better, but, of course, that did not happen.
This book is deep, and it really makes you think. What would you do in Bruno's situation? Though the vocabulary and style of writing makes it appear as a book for young readers, the topic is definitely of a different matter. |

| Since it's difficult to get children to sit and read often, this book is a bit difficult without "real-life" situations and examples, so whenever I take my child out, I always try my best to make sure that she hears me say "please" and "thank-you" so she will learn those niceties as well as other cultural assistance that will make her a young lady throughout life even if life often doesn't accommodate. This book will be put up until she is ready for the harder concepts of visualization, until she can put reality together with the written word, but it is a WINNER!!! |
