| I plan to get this for my sister who teaches 2nd grade, back East. I saw it in a local bookstore, and I know her class will LOVE it! A true tale of how wee ones do not like shopping! Illustrations are precious,and even adults can relate to poor little llama, who is just not in the mood to roam the aisles of a supermarket,when a nap is a far better activity! I love this book! You will too! |

| We received this book as a gift, and it is the best "baby on the way" book we have read. My daughter (almost 3) loves it, asks for it all the time, and has pretty much memorized it now.
My friend's little girl who is the same age, and also expecting a little brother, loves it too. It's nice how it emphasizes how the big sister can help, and how she is still special to mommy and daddy. Simple enough for a very small child to understand, and very positive. ... Read More: |

| This is a wonderful story for any youngster from ages 3-8. The illustrations are magnificent and story lines rhyme and blend very well. This story is a good way to help your child overcome basic fears. |

| This story is told in repetitive verse which tends to capture the attention of young children. It is similar in structure to "the house that Jack built", where each sentence repeats and then builds upon the previous sentence to tell the story. This story follows Emily as she gets dressed in her costume for Halloween.
Overall, the sing-songy kind of rhyme was good, and the illustrations were colorful and fun, but the story itself didn't hold much excitement for my 4yo. We borrowed this from the library, and it only got one ... Read More: |
