This book does have quiet a few words, and at first that made me think it may not keep the interest of my preschool class. But I was wrong. They absolutely love this book. It is a great book that demonstrates friendship and teamwork. Do not hesitate to buy. It is well worth it. It has a great message that would be wonderful for a child of any age. Even adults who get stuck in a rut. Enjoy!

I chose Identical from several choices based on the summary of the storyline posted here on Amazon, expecting a riveting read that takes the reader on a wild ride through the mind. It did just that. There are some things in this book that put me off, but there was some good found here too.

I have never read anything by Ellen Hopkins, so this book was a bit of a shock to me. I did not expect everything to be written in poetic form, and I found that it sometimes added to the storyline but sometimes it was ... Read More:

I read about half of this book, since many other people were too. It is not good at all. Once the main character knows that this boy is a vampire there's no point to the story.

I know there a couple of months left in 2008, but Paper Towns gets my vote for best YA book of the year. John Green wrote a book that celebrates literature and the impact it has on those who read it, digest it, and learn to connect with it. Forget the YA tag-this book reaches adults as well.
This insightful, introspective, and ironic page-turning mystery entertains and educates simultaneously. Quentin is a hero to cheer for and Margo is a heroine to hope for. As for the mystery, well, see if you can solve it before ... Read More:

When my dog passed away last November, a friend sent me this book. It still makes me cry when I read it to my 3-year-old. But I love it. It's very sweet. I'm NOT religious at all, but I still got a lot out of the book.
Recently, my mother-in-law's dog died, so I sent it to her. She loved it, too.

I love love love this book. This beautiful book helps me to entertain and educate my kids all at the same time. As an adult, I like the subtle humor. As a reader I love that each character is "real"--they have personality and their own style.

I plan on giving this book as a Christmas gift to all my nieces, nephews, and neighbors.

P.S. Even I love looking for Ernie and the illusive number 7.

Nothing Ever Happens On 90th Street by Roni Schotter is about a girl named Eva who has a journal and always jots in it when she sees something happen on 90th street. Eva was sitting on the stairs and waiting for something to happen on 90th street. Then Mr.Sims told her, "Everything is a stage even 90th street." Mr.Moely told her that there's always a new way with words. Then Eva started thinking putting the pencil up to her mouth should I scrawl about this? Then Eva went to go to sit back down on the stairs. Just then the door ... Read More:
