| I love this book!! Michael Buckley made it very interesting and wrote many suprises along the way. I was very suprised that Puck and Sabrina kissed and can't wait to read the next books to see what happens between those two!! I would recommend this series to anyone esspecially fantasy lovers. One of the reasons that I really love this book is that Michael Buckley added real fairy-tale charecters and made the book funny and suspensful at the same time! Great BOOK!!! |

| Based on the reviews, I bought this book for my nephew's first birthday.
The concept was great, but the abstract pictures and abstract poetry, I believe, does not resonate with the reader, be it adult or child. |

| Yes, there are similarities between the Book of Three and the Lord of the Rings: Both feature a wizard, a ranger type figure, a bad guy in a mask and a strange little creature who slithers around talking about eating. If you read enough fantasy you'll see these type of characters turn up again and again, and you'll often be able to draw comparisons with Tolkien. | I bought one for my 5 y.o son and then bought one for my 9 y.o. daughter because they enjoyed doing the first one so much. It is nice because it is simple to fill in a large portion of the book and the kids feel a sense of accomplishment.
There are some rare coins required but not a ton of them. I am finding several on eBay ($2.00 for a rare quarter, etc.) and the kids are saving up to buy a few of them. Have a magnifying glass handy so kids can see the dates on the coins. You'll need a good pile of coins to start ... Read More: |
