| I've read the whole Jacky Faber series. I am an avid reader. That said I've found that a good writer is a good writer; but this series of books goes beyond that. It's a clever, it's imaginative, it's fun. Very few authors surprize me, cudos to Mr. L. A. Meyer. The Jacky Faber Books to my mind, uplift a persons morals. Parents your teens get a glimpse into past history without being bored.

| This book literally fits into a jacket pocket and is great instant entertainment when we are on the go and find ourselves: waiting in line, driving anywhere, sitting quietly in church, traveling on the airplane, eating school lunch, quiet time before bed . . . I'm sure there are more! Plus the story is classic Munsch, with a strong female character leading through hilarious antics with hair style and peer approval - or disapproval! | While I thought this was a good book, I felt like it focused more on the negative side of being bad versus the "positives" of being good. The art work is beautiful as always. I just need more examples of the good things kids can do at kindergarten, not just what they shouldn't do. |

| The American Boy's Handy Book by Daniel Beard is a guide book for boys. It includes directions for knots, kite building, camping without a tent, and how to build a snow fort, just to name a few. The book was originally published in 1882 and is filled with black and white drawings. While I think it's wonderful to introduce young boys to the joys of the outdoors, they will have some difficulty with the language of the book. | Again, no mattre how superficial these books are, I can't seem to stop reading them. It is true that girls should not be exposed to such shallowness as these characters, but that's the author's point: who wants to truly be like these girls?

| I purchased this book because it is written in Spanish with English subtitles and I thought it would be a fun way to teach Spanish to my two year old son. But the book lacks imagination and excitement. It is almost weird to read. I've been reading to my little boy since he was a newborn and needless to say, he loves being read to. He knows what he likes and will pick out the book he wants me to read to him. He was intrigued by the book cover and asked me to read it to him. | Whether you are a published writer, or are still struggling to make it into print, Gail Carson Levine's book is a must read. Even though it is primarily written for young people, I find the exercises and advice on the writing process extremely useful. In addition,it is just a delightful book to read. Would that I had her skill with the written word Things I Learned from My Grandmother About Leadership and Life: (How to Light a Fire Under People Without Burning Them Out) would have been a better book.

| AFter reading the Warrior Heir I was very impressed. Now after finishing The Wizard Heir I'm stunned. This book starts off excellent. It's a page turner. Seph is a very likable main character and Liecaster is the perfect bad guy. The author does a great job of making the reader feel as they are actually a fly on the wall watching this play out. The mystery of who is Seph's real parents is maintained throughout the book and revealed close to the end. I must tell you, I had no clue who his parents were.
