| This was a good book in the way that it was well written. She writes with ease that makes your eyes fly over the words of the page at a good rate, and it doesn't clutter itself up with pretentious words. I liked the main character Callie, but her reasons for cutting do not seem justified. I also would have liked to see a little bit more information about the other girls in the hospital with her. | I found three things wrong with this book: (a) the story idea was a cliché, (b) Kristen didn't seem as particularly "down-to-earth" as she claimed and Lisi Harrison stressed, and (c) similar to the previous point, Kristen didn't seem very poor either. First off, this same story was used already in Sealed With a Diss (Kristen changes herself for the sake of a guy) and probably every other TV/book series ever made. | I read this book in college for a children's lit class. I was not impressed. It is a melodramatic look at the evils of drugs. It reads like a bad after school special, created to frighten teenagers and warn them never to experiment with drugs of any kind. Also, despite the lore following this novel, it was not written by a teenager. Read the novel if must, but there are definitely better books out there about drug usage. |

| The Sisterhood of the traveling pants series is a great read for girls. I didn't want the books to end. I felt like I knew each of the girls. Young adults and teen girls will love these books. |

| I think that Konigsburg writes in an intelligent way, considering the age groups that will be reading the book and how they're going to interpret the material.
Telling the story of a sixth grade academic team, and how they can pull together to become friends, 'The View From Saturday' is a feel good novel that everyone who loves friendship and a learning experience should read. |
